CDA Touts the Benefits of the Copper Rotor Motor for Energy Efficiency

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) last month sponsored Globalcon 2011, a conference in Philadelphia where decision-makers from business, industry and government met to consider integrated energy solutions that are both effective and affordable. This gave the CDA an opportunity to showcase the highly energy efficient copper rotor motor. Richard deFay, the CDA’s Project Manager, Sustainable Electrical Energy, attended the conference and also co-taught a two-day Department of Energy- sponsored motor management best practices workshop on Guam April 6-7, 2011, in collaboration with the Washington State University Extension Energy Program. FCC chairman praises spectrum auctions, broadband at NAB show

In an address at the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski sang the praises of the Internet and called for voluntary incentive auctions, which would repurpose broadcast spectrum to wireless companies.

The Power of Copper Reaches Electric Professionals at Electric West 2011

David Brender, CDA National Program Manager, attended the Electric West 2011 conference Feb. 22-24 at the Long Beach Convention Center. More than 3,000 contractors, consultants, engineers, plant managers and other electrical professionals attended the trade show. The CDA was one of more than 200 exhibitors showcasing their latest electrical products and services.
